FAQ’s
When is the downpayment due?
The down payment, collected in Qatari Riyals (the currency for the transaction alongside all other payments), is due within 14 days of signing the contract for purchase.
Can I rent it out?
Renting the unit can be leased or rented in accordance with the Lusail City laws.
When will I get the keys?
We anticipate handing over the keys to the apartment in the month of January, 2027.
Are there any other fees I should be aware of?
There are statutory fees that apply to anyone who buys a property in Qatar. These include administrative fees of 1%, Registration fees in line with Law No.6 of the Interim Real Estate Register, and any other fees in accordance with the Real Estate Registration Department. There are also standard annual resident service and maintenance charges upon handover.
What if I want to sell at any point along the way?
If you wish to sell the property at any time before the completion of payments, an Adminstration Fee of 5% will be added to the resale price of the Unit, subject to re-evaluation at the discretion of VALCAP group.
When will I own the property?
Ownership of the apartments will be handed over upon the completion of the full payment and any other local, legal, administrative or maintenance costs.
Is there a cooling-off period after signing the contract?
There is no period where upon signing the contract can the seller withdraw from the agreement. However, this can be reviewed in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the seller.
Are there any penalties for late payments or defaults?
There are late payment charges of 3.5% per month, on the outstanding amounts calculated from the date such amounts are due and until their full payment; and/or place a charge on the Purchaser’s property title; and/or commence court proceedings for recovery of the amount due and any penalty provided for in this Agreement, the Master Community “Lusail” Declaration and/or the Constitution, as appropriate.
